Chapter 7

[A story from haveyouseenthisgirl.blog]

“Napagtanto ko na hindi kita kayang kalimutan. My heart still belongs to you.”

Shock ran through my body as he held me there tightly in the corner of one of the empty hallways. Luckily it was a weekend, halos lahat ng tao nasa gym at nanunuod ng swim meet.

I immediately got back to my senses and I tried to push him with all my strength. He reluctantly pulled away but his eyes were still fixed on me.

“Cedric, can you please stop confusing me? If your heart still belongs to me then why did you leave me in the first place?

Nagaalalang tanong niya. Lumingon din siya agad kay Cedric, “Pre, I know we are good friends and meron kayong nakaraan ni Sai, pero I’m warning you.

I saw Cedric glaring at him. “Brian, this is between me and Sai. Can you please leave us alone?”

“No, Cedric. There’s nothing between the two of us. I’m now dating Brian and I don’t want you bothering me anymore. Please go back to your fiancée before she starts looking for you. Melody is a good friend and I don’t want her knowing anything about us.” I don’t know where I got the courage to say all that without actually stammering. I probably just had enough and I just want him out of my sight before my stupid heart gives in to him again.

When he just stared at me without saying anything, I turned my back on him and held Brian’s hand to pull him away from there. “Let’s go, Brian.”

“Saan tayo pupunta, Sai?”

“Uy Sai, are you okay?”

“Do you want to tell me what happened earlier?”

I thought of doing some of my research paper pero while I was at it, I couldn’t really concentrate.

My heart still belongs to you.’

Ano ba talaga? The other day he was being extremely cold to me and pushing me to Brian. And just when I have actually done what he wanted me to do, ito na naman siya telling me a different thing.

“Ah! Wala akong matapos.” I decided to quickly fix myself and go to the nearest convenience store. Makabili ng ice cream, pampalamig at pampakalma ng sarili.

I opened the wrapper of the ice cream as I got out of the convenience store. I was about to walk back home when I heard a car beeping. It was a black Mercedes Benz that stopped in front of me. The back window rolled down and I saw Melody waving at me with a smile, “Hey, Sai! I knew it was you! I saw you coming out of the convenience store and asked my driver to stop. Are you on your way home? Halika, we’ll take you there.”

Great. Another person I really don’t want to see now.
